About the Role
We are looking for a Production Manager to join Thames Water permanently. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of our Southern Water Production area to ensure its robust and safe operation 24/7. You will influence the future by identifying risk and investment needs and working with internal teams to deliver solutions within the right timescales. Our overarching plan is to provide our customers with a continuous supply of safe, clean, and palatable drinking water by focusing on our five key priorities – our people, health & safety, water quality, risk & resilience, and efficiency. This is a diverse and fast-paced role where no two days will be the same, providing a fantastic opportunity to think differently about how we ensure the reliability and resilience of our assets, whilst developing our people and driving a sustainable operating model. Key to the role is collaboration and stakeholder engagement, both within and outside of Water Production.
Experience
Previous experience in a Water Treatment or a utilities-based environment.
About you
H&S qualifications - IOSH or NEBOSH are highly desirable. An understanding of the Water Quality Regulations is desirable. Ability to work safely, meeting the physical demands of the role, as you’ll work in confined spaces, with successful completion of training. Good organisational and time management skills. A great team player with the ability to work collaboratively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with our internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
No specific qualifications required, but relevant experience and H&S certifications are advantageous.
