About the Role
At Thames Water, we’re delivering some of the UK’s most ambitious capital projects—and we need a sharp, proactive Operations Integration Specialist to ensure everything we build is ready for the real world. This isn’t a role on the sidelines. You’ll be embedded at the heart of major infrastructure projects, influencing decisions, shaping outcomes, and making sure every solution is fit for purpose, future-proof, and operationally rock-solid. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our solutions aren’t just well-designed, but fully ready to serve communities for decades to come.

Key Responsibilities
- Be the key link between Operations and project delivery, ensuring maintenance requirements are considered as part of the core design.
- Create & manage Outage RACI & management plan, working with Operations to plan and schedule Outages.
- Engage at a local level to understand site performance and restrictions, flagging risk to delivery.
- Support both operational and contractor teams to facilitate testing, including issuing health and safety permits for key works on site.
- Coordinate training on new assets, ensuring all appropriate staff are engaged.
- Ensure all documents are received and signed off by COP, completing Ops Engagement.
- Work closely with Operational site teams to encourage synergies for project success.
- Liaise with project teams to ensure ownership and responsibilities are fulfilled during the Take Over process.

Hybrid Working
This role requires you to be on site and in the office 3 days a week.

Experience
Good understanding of Engineering solutions and experience working in an Engineering solutions environment.

About you
Engineering Degree, HNC, or equivalent work experience. Understanding of sign-off project scope limitations and risk in line with Operational Integration. Operational expertise to determine operational constraints & site restrictions. Awareness of legislative frameworks relating to future requirements that may impact delivery. Experienced in conducting site meetings to facilitate both Operations and Delivery teams, as well as forming part of the review process. Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills are essential, alongside the ability to manage and influence multiple high-level and external stakeholders while delivering to tight deadlines.

Qualifications
Engineering Degree, HNC, or equivalent work experience.
