Hours
38 Hours, Monday - Friday 07:30 am – 15:36 pm. Plus standby and overtime opportunities increasing earning by a potential £8,000 - £10,000 per annum.
Salary
Up to £39,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
About the Role
We have a great opportunity for a career-minded individual to join our team as an Electrical Technician. Your role will be to ensure that all equipment at our Water treatment works is running safely and efficiently using proactive and reactive maintenance methods. You will inspect, maintain, fault diagnose, test, install, modify or repair electrical and some mechanical equipment. You will also be working in a multi-disciplinary team and will be responsible for carrying out scheduled, unscheduled and emergency maintenance work on Electrical equipment in compliance with company procedures to minimise plant breakdowns. Key responsibilities include investigating plant failures and carrying out repairs in a timely and efficient manner to avoid interruptions to the process, providing technical advice, and supporting technical trainees as required. Examples of equipment you will work on include motors, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, and electronic control systems.
Experience
Significant experience in electrical systems, ideally working in an industrial environment or the water industry.

You should be a self-motivated individual who can immerse oneself in the team, disciplined, eager to learn, and possess a can-do attitude. You must be prepared to respond quickly to faults and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
NVQ or C&G level 3 in Electrical Engineering is essential. 18th Edition qualification is desirable, but training can be provided. A valid driving license is required as frequent travel is necessary.
