About the Role
The Harris Federation is seeking a dedicated Premises Officer to ensure the provision of a safe, clean, and attractive learning environment at the Harris Primary Academy Peckham Park site. You will be part of a team responsible for the maintenance, security, health, and safety of the academy. Your key responsibilities will include ensuring adherence to health and safety policies, carrying out servicing and cleaning of academy vehicles, providing technical support to teaching staff, maintaining site security, and overseeing the cleanliness of the academy premises and grounds.

Experience
Basic knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and requirements. Experience of working in an inner-city school or educational establishment with children and young people. Considerable DIY experience and skills. Ability for some heavy lifting, with physical fitness appropriate to tasks required.

About you
You should possess basic training in plumbing, general and ground maintenance, electrical/building maintenance, and heating systems. You must have knowledge of maintenance and security systems and procedures, as well as supervisory skills. A proactive approach to monitoring and reporting structural faults and repairs is essential.

Qualifications
Basic knowledge of the operation of heating and ventilating systems and common causes of malfunctions. Ability to monitor and order stocks of material. Willingness to work evenings and weekends on a regular basis and deal with emergencies occurring outside normal working hours.
