About the Role
We are looking to recruit a Plumber / Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This role involves delivering both planned and reactive maintenance with a good knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, Pumps, Heating systems, AHU’s, water systems, and Legionella Control. You will cover a number of schools in the area, for which you will be provided with a company van.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the delivery of the maintenance service in line with the contracted agreement and ensure service delivery is within allocated timescales and budgetary targets, working with the Hard Services Manager.
- Support the Hard Service Manager in the day-to-day operations of the Greenwich School contract PFI.
- Be flexible to support Tower Hamlets Schools PFI contract in the event of staff shortages, cover for sickness, and annual leave.
- Work with the Hard Services Manager to ensure day-to-day operations meet contract SLA’s and KPI’s, and conduct periodic auditing of all documentation.
- Carry out PPM’s to all related tasks within competency and skill set, completing and closing off within allocated time scales.
- Monitor the WIP (Work In Progress) to ensure job closure through Concept.
- Maintain high levels of site Health and Safety throughout the company’s/clients' workplace.
- Assist in monitoring all visitors/contractors under the management of G4S.
- Ensure all M&E Statutory Compliance records are kept and ready for inspection when requested through periodic auditing.
Experience
Experience within PFI school contracts and previous experience in a similar role is desirable. Asbestos awareness and knowledge of Water Management-Legionella, L8, Temp Testing are advantageous.
