About the Role
Ready to find the right role for you? As an MBT Supervisor (Mechanical Biological Treatment), you will play a crucial role in the safe, efficient, and reliable day-to-day operation of our facility. MBT is an innovative design that combines mechanical pre-treatment and composting technologies, treating 87,500 tons of Municipal Solid Waste per year. You will ensure that the MBT operates within the requirements of the environmental permit, manage the daily stock of incoming waste, and oversee the outgoing fuel and recyclates. Your responsibilities will include supervising a team of five, delivering high-standard reports, ensuring health and safety compliance, and investigating safety concerns. You will also review daily performance, liaise with the Operations Manager and Maintenance team, and suggest improvements to enhance operating availability, quality, and efficiency.

Requirements

Experience
Previous experience of managing a team is essential.

About you
You should possess a basic mechanical and biological understanding, a health & safety background, and knowledge of environmental compliance is desirable. An understanding of controlling spend and stock levels is important, along with being IT literate in Excel, Word, SAP, SharePoint, and SCADA. Good communication and organization skills are also required.
