About the Role

Are you a flood risk specialist looking to make a real difference in a diverse and evolving urban setting? Lewisham is a borough shaped by its waterways, where open rivers run through parks and residential areas, reflecting a long-standing connection to water. In this role, you will lead the Council’s flood risk management work, driving our strategic approach to understanding the risks the borough faces. You will work with colleagues across highways, public realm, parks, planning, and beyond to develop and deliver sustainable drainage, natural flood management, and wider nature-based initiatives that transform the urban landscape.

Experience
Strong technical expertise in flood risk management.

You should possess the organisational skills and capacity to drive flood resilience work while managing a wide range of stakeholders across the Council, the borough, and beyond.
Qualifications
Must hold a relevant qualification in transport/engineering/flood risk, or be educated to degree level, or have equivalent experience.
