About the Role
The Bat Conservation Trust (BCT) is the foremost non-governmental organisation dedicated to bat conservation and habitat protection. We are looking for a Bat Groups Officer to join us on a part-time, permanent basis. This role involves regular travel across England and occasional travel to Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, and the Isle of Man. You will support bat groups, facilitate formal relationships with BCT, and promote effective communication across the sector. Your responsibilities will include leading the Partner Group network, managing programmes of work, organising events, overseeing budgets, and line managing the Wales Bat Groups Officer. You will also maintain annual MOUs, organise Partner Group meetings, manage the Partner Group Support Fund, and produce bat group bulletins.

Experience
At least two years’ experience working in the wildlife sector with volunteers
Experience managing programmes of work
Experience developing and/or delivering training to a range of audiences
Experience using web content management systems
Experience managing budgets and writing reports
Project development and project management experience
Good knowledge of bat ecology and conservation, including practical experience
A full, valid driving licence
